Earlier this year we found ourselves at Bronson hospital while our son was a patient. During our six day stay we spent two nights plus a couple of afternoons at the Hospitality House. During this emergency in our lives we found people providing a place that met more than our sleeping needs. We thank God such a place existed to take care of needs such as a bed, laundry, and food that tends to retreat in the midst of anxiety and worry. However, the kindness and understanding of the staff met needs deeper than our physical needs. Having a place away from the hospital to sort out the situation and emotions eased the difficulties of this time. Deep heartfelt gratitude goes towards the Hospitality House and Bronson Hospital for providing a shuttle for people who are out of town and out of their element.

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for this facility which was truly a “bridge over troubled waters” (no pun intended for the streets of Kalamazoo). The way this program has helped many thousands of people in emotionally charged times is truly a work of God carried out by his people.
